Usage of this Site signifies the User(s)’, which includes but is not limited to individuals, organizations and/or groups, (hereafter referred to as “You” or “User”) acceptance of this Privacy Policy and is(are) aware that our policy may change at any time. findandremind (“FAR”, “we” or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of its Users and has adopted this policy to achieve that goal. We encourage User to read and understand this policy.  Of course, if User has any questions about this policy, User may contact us at any time at the address provided at the end of this policy.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT
FAR provides an online calendar and networking tools for its Users to organize and coordinate group events and allows its Users to exchange information regarding in-home and related child care services.  NONE OF OUR USER DATA WILL EVER BE SOLD, NOR WILL WE SHARE PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE DATA WITH OTHER SITES WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT.

Specific to these services we may collect and store any personal identifying information entered on our website such as name, address, phone number, email address and/or financial data if payment is made for services to FAR.  We may also obtain personal information by phone if User contacts us, in writing from User, and through information we receive automatically when User visits our website.  Information is also obtained from “Cookies and other Technical Data,” from third parties, and other online and offline sources.  We use the information obtained to develop and deliver FAR services.  Providing your information is voluntary and you can always elect not to use FAR, its services, or features.

The information we collect may include: first name, last name, city, state, address, zip code, phone numbers, email addresses and other information specific to the service requested or provided.  If you become a registered subscriber we may collect your address should you explicitly decide to participate in programs that require this information.  Such programs may include membership-based subscriptions, company recruiter job postings and other services that FAR offers.  If you become a registered User, we may collect User’s date of birth, gender, resume, company name (if applicable), and zip codes served.  For corporate accounts we may also collect information about the company including its tax identification, the year established, and the number of employees.

If you post or participate on any Group Link or blog on FAR, personally identifiable information User submits can be read, collected, or used by other users of these forums, and could be used to send User unsolicited messages.  We are not responsible for any unauthorized usage of personally identifiable information by third parties that you choose to submit that information to in this forum.

 

COOKIES AND OTHER TECHNICAL DATA
FAR collects anonymous information through cookies.  A cookie is a small data file that is sent from the web server and stored on a User’s computer.  We use cookies to administer and customize our service and to better understand, on an aggregate basis, how Users interact with FAR.  If you choose to disable cookies, you may not be able to use certain features of the FAR website.  For example, we require that Users have cookies enabled to enroll in our service or to log in to User’s account.  We do not store any personally identifiable information in cookies.

As is true of most websites, when Users visit FAR we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. We gather technical information about User’s computer such as your IP address, operating system, browser type, pages visited, manner of connection to the Internet, and referring URL. We use this information in aggregate to analyze trends and administer our service. The information that we collect through log files is not tied to personally identifiable information.

We and/or advertising affiliates may employ “tracking pixels” (also referred to as “web beacons”) to count the number of Users that visit a page on our website that includes these tracking pixels. We also employ a third-party service provider to assist in tracking site usage.  This service provider uses cookies and “tracking pixels” to collect information on our behalf about the pages Users visit while on our site.  This service allows us to better administer the site and our service.  The data collected by this service provider does not identify individual Users and the analysis of this data is performed on an aggregate basis.

We may use third-party advertising companies, such as Google® and Performics Inc.®, to serve or track ads on our web site and other web sites.  These companies may use non-personally identifiable information about Users’ visits to this and other web sites in order to measure advertising effectiveness and to provide advertisements about goods and services that may be of interest to User.

THIRD PARTY INFORMATION SHARING
The information collected by FAR is also used when authorized in connection with the exchange of information between care seekers and care providers and vice/versa.  In addition, we may share your personal information with third parties that offer related products or services.  However, we will only do so with your consent.

We do not share your personal information with other third parties except as permitted or required by law or as described within this privacy policy and including the following:

  • In order to provide our services, we may share any of the information we gather about Users with agents and service providers to perform functions on our behalf, such as to send email or host videos (if you decide to post one to your account).  In addition, address information may be shared with a service provider to determine geographic information.  These service providers may have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes.
  • We may disclose personal information about User to third parties when we believe such disclosure is appropriate to comply with a legal requirement, such as a law, regulation, court order, subpoena or search warrant, or in the course of a legal proceeding.  We may also disclose personal information as we believe appropriate to enforce or apply our rights under our agreements with customers, to protect the rights, property or safety of findandremind, our customers and others, including exchanging information for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
  • If there is a change of control in findandremind’s business (whether by merger, sale, or otherwise), its customer information could be sold as part of that transaction and your personally identifying information potentially could be used by the purchaser.  However, if that business materially changes this statement or the information-handling practices as described in this statement, you will be notified by email and/or through a notice posted on FAR, and User will have a choice as to whether your existing information is used in a new manner.

YOUR PRIVACY CHOICES

  • You may review and correct your personal information and preferences at any time.
  • You may opt-out of emails from us.
  • You may submit requests to opt-out of phone and postal marketing.
  • You may turn off cookies in your browser.

OPT OUT PROVISIONS
FAR provides Users the ability to opt-out of receiving email communications from us.  If Users wish to cease future communications that were sent by FAR, Users can opt-out by using the link on the bottom of an email that Users receive from FAR or, if you are a registered User, by visiting the My Profile section of User(s)’ account.  If User is a member of an outside group that is transmitting emails from FAR, User will need to contact the host of that group for removal of User’s email address.

FAR reserves the right to send Users specific administrative notices that are required by law, regulation, or as needed to service User’s account.  Administrative notices also include notifications of new messages or job postings in User’s area and responses to jobs that User has posted.  Users may not opt-out of receiving these administrative emails.

Service Providers have the ability to suppress certain information, such as their phone number(s), from displaying to Parent Members.  Service Providers can set such preferences in the Profile section of their account.

PROTECTION OF MINORS
If you are under age 13, please do not attempt to register for FAR or provide any personal information about you to us.  We will not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.  If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.  If you believe that we might have any information from a child under age 13, please contact us at support@findandremind.com.

FAR’s platform for uniting care seekers with care providers is for people 18 years or older.  Our registration process is designed to identify those under the age of 18.  As to employment seeking individuals, we require that all potential employees be at least 18 years or older.  If it comes to our attention that a User has revealed, on FAR, that they are under 18 and are seeking employment on the site, a member of FAR’s staff will immediately close their account.

NOTE TO PARENTS
While all users must be at least 13 years old, we suggest that parents create a sub-account for their children who are over 13 years old but are not yet 18 years old who wish to make use of the social calendar planning for their personally formed groups and that those accounts be monitored by the parent or legal guardian of the minor.  We strongly recommend that minors 13 years of age or older ask their parents for permission before sending any information about themselves to anyone over the Internet and we encourage parents to teach their children about safe Internet use practices.

If your child is under 18 and has become a FAR member using a false age, please notify us at support@findandremind.com so that we can immediately close the account and nullify all personally identifiable information collected from them.  If User’s child is under the age of 18 and User would like to know more about our site, information practices, stored information on your child, or how to close User’s child’s sub account, contact support@findandremind.com.  In both instances, User will need to provide User’s full name, address, phone number, e-mail address and child’s user name.

ACCESS TO PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION
If User’s personally identifiable information changes, User may update this information by logging into User’s account and accessing the “Profile” section within “My Account”.  If User no longer wishes to participate in our service User may contact customer service and request that User’s account be closed.

HOW WE PROTECT User(s)’ INFORMATION 
FAR is committed to earning and keeping Users’ trust and we understand the need to keep User’s information secure and private.  As a result we have implemented industry-recognized safeguards to protect User’s information.  These safeguards include: • FAR is registered with Comodo, a leading provider of digital authentication services and products for electronic commerce and other forms of secure communications. We use SSL (Secure Socket Layer), the industry standard method for computers to communicate securely without risk of manipulation or recipient impersonation. We utilize SSL in the online registration process, in the login process, and in the account management section of the Site. • FAR uses encryption technology to protect sensitive information such as last name, date of birth, address, etc. • FAR employs firewalls and system monitoring to protect against unauthorized access of our systems.

Please remember that you (User) also play a valuable role in data security.  Never share your FAR password.  If your password has been compromised, change it immediately by logging into your account.  You (User) should always exit your browser after you (User) have accessed your account and are finished using the website.

Information you provide about yourself while using our Site

We provide areas on our website where you can post information about yourself and others and communicate with others or upload content such as photographs. Such postings are governed by our Terms of Use. In addition, such postings may appear on other websites or when searches are executed on the subject of your posting. Also, whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information on publicly-viewable web pages, that information will be publicly available and can be collected and used by others. For example, if you post your email address, you may receive unsolicited messages. We cannot control who reads your posting or what other users may do with the information you voluntarily post, so we encourage you to exercise discretion and caution with respect to your personal information.

PRIVACY POLICY CHANGES
This policy will evolve and change over time due to new features and changes associated with FAR, legal developments, business factors and ever-changing technology.  Registered Users will be advised of any material changes by email, the posting of a prominent notice on the home page or an indication on this page.  We reserve the right to modify this privacy statement at any time, so please review it frequently.  Your (User) continued use of the site will signify your consent to the designated changes.

SECURITY 
Providing security for the personally identifying information you (User) submit via our website is a priority. We take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to, or unauthorized alteration, disclosure, or destruction, of Users’ personally identifying information. Please be aware, however, that no transmission of information via the Internet can be entirely secure.  User should, therefore, always use caution when submitting personally identifying information online.

LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES
This Privacy Statement applies to FAR services only. FAR website includes links to other websites. If Users submit personally identifying information to any of those sites, Users’ information is subject to their privacy statements.  We encourage you to carefully read the privacy statement of any website you visit.
